Dating back to the 1800’s The Garvald Inn had been serving locals and visitors until its close in 2000.The building was then left empty until, in 2003, Peter and Elaine McQuade bought the property and started its refurbishment programme to build a business and a home for themselves and their two boys. Over time the rest of the building has been slowly stripped back and repaired, keeping its traditional look but with a modern twist.

Peter and Elaine have more than 40 years of experience in the hospitality business and have sought to combine great tasting, high quality food with a relaxed and friendly atmosphere, ensuring a warm welcome for all.
